Conducting surveys and research to support policymaking and programme formulation in the field of population and development

APDA conducts surveys and research on population and development in the Asian and other regions, and publishes the results under commission from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. These projects have been conducted with multilateral and bilateral cooperation from the countries involved and the survey results are used to provide basic information to governments for promoting international cooperation in the field of population and development in Japan and abroad.
