APDA ACTIVITY OUTLINES―
ACTIVITY 04Publicity and Seminars
Undertaking publicity activities and seminars at home and abroad

Seminars on population and development are held with an aim to increase understanding and support of population issues among the general public. Seminars cover global and domestic population issues (such as Japan’s challenges of population ageing and low fertility), while promoting an enabling environment for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The quarterly journal “Population and Development” consists of reports on parliamentarians’ activities relating to this field, activities of international organizations and NGOs, expert papers and summaries of newspaper articles on population and development issues. The “ODA Quarterly” is aimed at all parliamentarians of Japan to advocate them about the importance of ODA in areas of population and development to enhance their support. As the “Resource Series”, APDA publishes translations of publications by the UN and other international organizations, and international conference minutes.
